The doyen of Indian Film Industry, Shri B.Nagi Reddi was known for his pioneering efforts in making films with the essence of wholesome entertainment for the entire family. To commemorate the Birth Centenary of the founder Shri B.Nagi Reddi, Vijaya Medical & Educational Trust has instituted 'Shri B.Nagi Reddi Memorial Award' for the Best Wholesome Entertainment Film in Tamil and Telugu language.

In 2011, 'Mr.Perfect' was selected for Shri B.Nagi Reddi Memorial Award for the Best Wholesome Entertainment Film in Telugu. Film 'Kho' was awarded the Best Wholesome Entertainment Film in Tamil.

In 2012, film 'Eega' was selected for Shri B.Nagi Reddi Memorial Award for the Best Wholesome Entertainment Film in Telugu. Film ‘Kumki’ won the Best Wholesome Entertainment Film in Tamil.
